This past weekend was one for the books! On Sunday, September 20, 2015, ALEX AND ANI | CHARITY BY DESIGN partner, American Cancer Society®, honored and celebrated Carolyn Rafaelian, Founder, Creative Director, and CEO, at the Old-Fashioned Clambake and Birthday Celebration. The event was held at scenic Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton, Rhode Island.

Guests enjoyed amazing food, wine selections from Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard, entertainment courtesy of The Ron Reid Calypso Duo and Evan Goodrow and the Sauce, and an inside look into the partnership and relationship formed with the American Cancer Society.
Carolyn’s commitment in helping spread the mission of the American Cancer Society was highlighted as was her upcoming birthday, which is officially on September 23rd. She graciously thanked everyone for attending and for their unwavering support.
Kate Richard, Vice President of Business Development, also spoke to guests about the incredible impact of the ALEX AND ANI | CHARITY BY DESIGN partnership with American Cancer Society. With the creation of the Gift Box Charm Bangle, over $656,000 has been generated in donations through sales of the bangle since its launch in November 2012!
As a birthday gift, Carolyn was presented with a stunning painting of a panther, an animal near and dear to her heart. Several statues of this majestic and powerful creature stand guard around ALEX AND ANI World Headquarters.
